A Grand Opening to a Power-Packed Conference
DESIGNS INDIA Architecture Conference 2025 was inaugurated with the auspicious lamp-lighting ceremony in the presence of the Merino leadership and distinguished architects and designers. The session began with a warm welcome address by Ms. Verticaa Dvivedi, Founder of THE WADE ASIA, followed by the Presenting Partner Address by Mr. Manoj Lohia, Director–Sales, Merino Group.
The highlight of the inaugural session was a powerful keynote presentation by Ar. Hiren Patel, Principal Architect, HPAD, Ahmedabad, titled “THE POWER OF SHE.” In his talk, Ar. Patel beautifully connected the strength of female leadership at HPAD with the 10-year legacy of THE WADE ASIA—widely regarded as the most influential platform for women in design.

In an expressive and heartfelt segment, Ar. Hiren Patel used anecdotes, humor, and real-life examples to highlight the transformative contributions of women in architecture. He emphasized that women are not merely participants but powerful drivers of architectural practices and movements like THE WADE ASIA.
His keynote celebrated their leadership, creativity, discipline, and sense of responsibility—qualities that shape both his practice and the broader design community. It served as a reminder of the essential role women play in shaping the profession’s present and future.
