The Young Architect of the Year award honors Indian visionary women architects under 40 who are shaping the future of the built environment through innovation, sensitivity, and creative excellence. The award recognizes exceptional talent and design leadership demonstrated through a body of work that reflects strong philosophy, contextual awareness, and forward-thinking approach, rather than a single project.

Becoming a Young WADE Awardee marks a milestone of excellence and leadership, distinguishing the recipient as a future trailblazer of the industry.

• Age Limit: Up to 40 years as on 1st March 2026.
• Participation: Free of charge.
• Application Mode: All entries must be submitted digitally through the official WADE Application Form.
• Multiple Categories:
  • You may apply for more than one category.
  • For each category, fill a separate Application Form.
  • The same project may be submitted in a maximum of two categories.
• Who Can Apply: Only qualified Indian women architects with at least 2 years of professional experience (as partner, employee, or independent practitioner).

• Number of Projects: Submit 3 original projects.
  • 2 must be completed.
  • 1 may be completed or ongoing.

• Project Diversity:
  
  • Preferably, each project should belong to a different category to showcase your range and versatility.
  • If this is not feasible, submit your best available works.

• Use original photographs for completed projects.
• 3D renderings or visualizations are permitted only for ongoing or future projects.
• The A2 entry file must include the following (clearly mentioned at the top):
  • Project Category
  • Project Title
  • Date of Completion
• Project Brief (keep concise):
  • Client’s brief and project objective
  • Design approach and how objectives were achieved
  • Challenges faced and how they were overcome
• Include drawings, plans, images, and captions on the same A2 sheet.
• Refer to the sample project layout provided at the end of the page for clarity.

• To ensure unbiased evaluation:
  🚫 Do NOT mention your name, firm name, logo, or any identifiable detail on the entry files. Entries violating this anonymity rule will be disqualified immediately.

• If you are submitting a project executed under your firm or employer, attach a Declaration Letter signed by the Principal Architect / Designer confirming your contribution.

1. Fill out the THE WADE ASIA Application Form completely.
2. Upload the following:
   • Three (3) A2 entry files in PDF format (Maximum file size 6 MB per project)
   • Declaration Letter (only if applicable, Maximum file size 2 MB)
   • Your Photograph: A clear, recent portrait photograph in JPG or PNG format (maximum file size 2 MB).
3. Upon successful submission, a USER ID will be sent to your registered email. Please save this USER ID for all future communication.

By submitting your entries, you confirm that:

• The projects are your original work, or you have made the maximum contribution to their completion.
• Projects that have already won a WADE Award are not eligible for re-submission.

• The WADE Survey Form is mandatory and needs to be filled only once.
• If applying for multiple categories, simply tick the checkbox in the Application form stating that you have already completed the survey.

Before you begin filling out the Application form, prepare your entry file, declaration letter and your photograph as per the specified file size and format requirements. This will make the submission process quicker, smoother, and error-free.

• Selection and finalization of any category for the competition will be at the discretion of the organizers, based on the quantity and quality of submissions.
• Finalists will be required to attend the Final LIVE Jury Presentation Round in New Delhi. (Details and schedule will be communicated to all the finalists.)
