ADND & KDND Studio Art Profile, Mumbai
Anand Menon strongly believes that the seed of art and architecture got planted very early on in his life. From taking part in various art competitions to opting for art in his final years of schooling his association with art took a break when he pursued science in college hoping to become a doctor like his parents. However, as destiny would have it architecture popped up as an alternative option that he embraced to find himself where he is today. The years at architecture school saw him honing his drawings skills to satisfy the primary needs of the vocation that he had chosen. As he transitioned into the professional side of architecture, drawing became more as a medium to express and explain his designs to clients. A couple of years back a chance meeting with a client who also happens to be an ardent art collector and connoisseur became a turning point. A singular statement made by the client asking Anand to think bigger hit a chord that since then hasn’t stop ringing. The quick passage of time has seen Anand produce a respectable amount of art. He strongly believes that like architecture his art is a work in progress and he is only as good as his last creation.
