The parti pris for designing Mr. Danani’s residence was to unify spaces with traditional and modern trends. Pragati tells us that,” The client was very much involved in the project, to get his dream home shaped perfectly. This proved fruitful as it improved the details in the design according to their lifestyle.”
The planning has been done in three levels, creating an interesting medley of private and gathering spaces.
The ground floor houses, a neatly done home theatre in subtle tones of brown, a wood toned guest bedroom and a servant room. The main activities are assembled on the first floor, an open floor plan links the living, dining, and the kitchen, forming a congregation space strengthening and celebrating togetherness and family values. There is an electric mix of the traditional and modern furniture and furnishings throughout, such as bold prints on the walls of the living area, plus coloured upholstery, use of gold and silver shades of colour and luxury to the master bedroom.
The two symmetrically planned red tinted bedrooms on the second floor share an atrium, holding lyrically arranged green potted plants, and a balcony. Each attached bathrooms syncs with the room, playing with mosaic and vitrified tiles.
Elements like the “sky-hugging” traditional wooden swing, across the dining, a small gym, with wooden flooring and a highlighted buddha’s sculpture as well as a husky gazebo makes the residence fresh, playful and inviting.
