The place was very small with an area of 374 sq.ft. only and it was a big challenge to make 25 seater café with full fledged kitchen containing of burners, micro, grill, and fryer. Also lot of storage needed to be created for take away and to store regular cups and steepers.
The main idea was to have simple yet classy and unique place, that would invite tea drinkers to come and enjoy the serene atmosphere, and help their thinking urge to move around the world. That’s why a world map is deaigned on ceiling which gives another dimension to the design.
The interior is clean, chic and simple. It offers tranquil tea treat in all white walls and displays with bright coloured artifacts of tea kettles. The dark colour walnut polished wood pannelling on walls and furniture with vibrant coloured tapestry creates a visual wow factor.
The kitchen has open plan with clear view till the end to appreciate the process of tea making and cooking. The small kitchen space is well designed where almost three chefs can work without simultaneously creating maximum functionality.
The colour palette is white, green and walnut polish which is very soothing to the eye. The artwork done by local artist in oil colour create a magical effect. Display of kettles in various colours and shapes enhances the effect. Lights made from an ordinary aluminium tea kettles painted in primary colours which enhances the interiors. Wall paintings, photographs, tea boxes all add to the ambiance.
By combining of plan layout with art and artefacts leads in achieving a visual WOW factor in the interiors. It makes the guests feel welcomed and taken care off. The use of different materials combined together has created a magnificent bubble le chai bubble.
