A farm house is a place where people go to relax and unwind. The purpose of this farmhouse was to give the clients a different experience of living, than their residence. A tropical environment is the base of the design for this project. The language is maintained in architecture and landscape both. The elevational element such as the pitched roof is the key to deriving this language. The elevation is a mix of pitched roofs and floating slabs, since the plan is spreaded only on the ground floor. The floor plate is such that it divides the private areas from the public ones, with internal courtyards. The requirement of 2 sufficient sized bedrooms with attached dress and toilet (with courtyards) is fulfilled. The double height drawing room is ideally located with it opening both sides in the landscape. Simillarly the swimming pool is in direct axis with the Gazebo Spa area. This composition gives the farm house an enclosed look, yet maintains its openness looking towards the garden. The entrace is grandeur personified, with a marble inled waterbody on one side and a green courtyard on the other. Walking through the wooden pergolas embarks you on a visual journey till you reach the entrance of the house. The plants and trees are carefully selected to continue the tropical language in the landscape. The landscape details and elements are as important as the architectural details of this house, as both compliment each other.
