Ms Pragati Jain, a well-reputed Interior Designer has recently accomplished and conceptualized a residence for Mr Anil Sharma –1385 sq. ft. home in Indore with its classical elegance. Everything from the space planning and interior designing has been done under her expertise. Each and every usable space of this contemporary home has been smartly utilised with the help of innovatively designed furnitures and units.
It has two floors, Ground and First, designed as 3BHK with an addition of a beautiful Pooja area and a Grandeur indoor waterfall. A living room which is separated by a wooden platform which has a beautiful sofa sitting with an appropriate upholstery on it. Eyes are immediately drawn to the circular fan on the ceiling and the painting on the wall which was purchased from China. A dining space was effectively inserted with this area, which is the most active zone of the house, flanked by a Living room on one side and a Kitchen on the other. It has a beautiful panelling which made the area looked more spacious because of its unique design.
There is also very modish designed common wash basin area, where one side is the store room beneath the staircase and the other side is the washroom. Wall at the back here has been cladded with stone.
There are beautiful hanging lights which is giving a very aesthetic look to the overall area. The house is flooded with natural light during the day and in the nights, it glows in the warmth of comfortable lighting. The overall experience of the house is that of a well-lit, well ventilated cosy space. The rafters which is finished with teak and spot lights in it, which is creating a very good ambience.
The most striking feature of the house is the indoor waterfall between the Ground floor and the First floor, with a very beautiful statue of Buddha in the centre. The whole area has been neatly cladded with stone.
Ms. Pragati Jain , has testified that luxury comes in all sizes and is expressed best in a home that combines great function with dazzling form- no matter how big or small. Space being a constraint, every nook and corner of the bedrooms has been well-detailed out. The furniture, fixtures, wall surface treatments, artwork and accessories have been well designed to lend themselves effectively to a compact space.
The master bedroom was designed keeping in mind the taste and the choice of the client. The space and storage was plenty and sufficient. The either sides of the headboard is finished with wallpaper and the headboard is cushioned-leatherite white with grooves in it. The T.V. unit looked simple and refined. A partition that separates the dresser space of the master bedroom, with grooves and the glass on the top so that it doesn’t look impeded. The color palette chosen was white, so it looked very pleasant.
The floor to floor course of the house is from a staircase, where the railing is finished with teak and the glass with steel supports also. There is a beautiful mandir designed on the first floor, with the CNC jali’s on the either side of the mandir where it throws white light from the back and has teak borders, the space provided is abundant , for big pooja’s and family gatherings.
The son’s bedroom has been well detailed out. The color palette used is brown. Panelling behind the headboard is done with the wallpaper and the headboard is cushioned. The whole room is furnished with teak. The partition in the room is with wooden slide door. The study unit , for instance, works as a display unit as well as bookshelf.
The Guest room has been has been designed. Very minimalistic furniture has been used. The headboard is cushioned with teak border. To finish the wall we’ve used brick wallpaper. There are two windows in the room, one is connected to the external area and the other internally. Gym area is combined within the same room according to the client’s requirement.
Ms. Pragati Jain, believes that the key to a good design is when the client is Forbearance and Faithful.
